According to the Islamic Resistance Movement’s statement released by the Qatari media Al Jazeera, Ismail Haniya has informed the Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohamed bin Abulrahman al Zani, and the head of Egyptian intelligence, Abbas Kamel, that he accepts the proposal. of which no details have emerged.
The announcement comes a few hours after Israel will order the evacuation of the population of Rafá with a view to the beginning of a military offensive against what they consider Hamas’s last stronghold in the Gaza Strip, an offensive that the US has said it will not support in any case.
Currently more than 1.2 million displaced people live overcrowded in Rafah as a result of the entry of Israeli troops that have been sweeping the Palestinian enclave from north to south.
