
At the III International Investment Forum (TIIF) held in Tashkent, agreements worth $26.6 billion were signed, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reported on May 6.
“As a result of the TMIF, agreements were signed for a total amount of 26.6 billion dollars, which demonstrates the great investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan”– reports the press service.

It is clarified that the interest of investors in Uzbekistan has increased considerably. For example, in 2022, 167 documents worth $11 billion (1 trillion rubles) were signed at TMIF.
It is reported that in addition to the Saudis, who will set up wind power plants and data centers throughout Uzbekistan, the Chinese, Egyptians, Singaporeans and others will open their businesses in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the Saudi company Saudi Tabrid will invest 750 million dollars (68.5 billion rubles) in the modernization of the heat supply system in Nukus, Fergana and Kuvasay.
The Egyptian company Nil Shugar will grow sugar beets and produce sugar in the Djizakh region of Uzbekistan. 500 million dollars will be invested in sugar production, the press service reports.
The Chinese company Shanghai Knud International will produce textiles and clothing in the Namangan region. The Chinese will invest $205 million (18.5 billion rubles) in this business.
The Singapore company Wilmar International decided to invest 200 million dollars (18.5 billion rubles) in food and confectionery products. The production will be created in the Tashkent region, the press service clarifies.
It is also reported that other companies have decided to invest in Uzbekistan, such as the Azerbaijani Pasha Development, the Egyptian Orascom Investment, the Hungarian Bonafarm Grup, the Turkish Sam Yapi and the Iranian Petrosat Chexelsoton. In addition, there is an investment agreement with the American company Sayar, the Chinese companies Goldwind and Sinoma and the Austrian company Lasselsberger. The total amount of investment of these companies is 6.6 billion dollars (605 billion rubles).
