Four people were arrested on Tuesday for drug trafficking in the municipalities of Visela, Guimarães and Vila Nova de Famalicão in Braga district, the National Republican Guard (NGR) said on Wednesday.
As part of the drug trafficking investigation, six domestic and three non-domestic searches of vehicles were conducted, which resulted in the discovery of “a small domestic laboratory established for the preparation and transformation of a narcotic substance.”
In a statement, GNR said the suspects, three women and a man aged between 41 and 66, were arrested at the scene.
During the searches, €243,150 in cash, 11,900 doses of MDMA (ecstasy), 2,940 doses of cocaine, 50 doses of cannabis resin, 12 cell phones, four computers, a tablet and two vehicles, as well as various drug packaging materials were seized.
