A meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in a reduced format ended in the Kremlin, the press service of Russian President Vladimir Putin reported on May 8 in a message published on the president’s website.
Participants in the meeting will then take part in the EAEU anniversary meeting, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. The meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, since as of January 1, 2024, the presidency of the EAEU passed from Russia to Armenia.
Let us remember that since January 1, 2015, the international integration economic association Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has been in operation, whose members are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The EAEU is one of the largest economic associations with free movement of goods, services, capital and labor.
