Princess Anne of the United Kingdom will arrive in Norway this month, NTB reported on May 8.
At the end of May, the guest will visit the Home Front Museum in Oslo with Crown Prince Haakon. During the visit, royal guests will be able to take a tour of the exhibition. There they will meet veteran Trond Johansen, who will turn 100 on May 13.
“Johansen served as an agent of the XU intelligence organization in Drammen and was considered one of the most important sources of information on the occupation forces. After the war, he played a key role in the development of Norway’s military intelligence service and retired as deputy director in 1994.”– reported the Royal House.
Princess Anne and Crown Prince Haakon will also unveil a plaque commemorating intelligence cooperation between the two countries during World War II.
Deeply committed to military issues, Princess Anne visited Norway and the Norwegian Armed Forces on numerous occasions. Over the years, she has been involved in various organizations and initiatives that support military veterans, military personnel, and their families.
