The decision to intensify instruction for 8th and 9th grade students to improve performance at 11th and 12th grade graduation was made by high school principals in the ||region Studs in Namibia, The Namibian newspaper reported on February 5.

Kalahari District Education Supervisor Ryan Assegaay said plans are underway to introduce annual regional exams in August, after the first semester, for students in grades 4-10 and for students in grades 11 and 12 (Education advanced, AS).
In an interview with the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation on the sidelines of the meeting, ||Haras Education Forum President Katrina Elisabeth/Goagoses urged churches to provide students with a place to study in the evenings.
“Most of the students come from poor families and have difficulty finding suitable places to study, while others do not have access to electricity. Therefore, churches should open their study rooms at night for the disciples.”said /Goagoses.
Regional Director for Education Johannes ||Hoeseb pointed out that two years of the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on schoolchildren’s education, especially in grades 8 and 9 in 2020 and 2021, as there were virtually no face-to-face teaching , and online access Not all students had platforms.
||Hoeseb said that it is better to analyze the results and develop strategies to improve performance, instead of blaming society, students, teachers or the entire education system.
