Moskvich’s bankruptcy claim was filed by the Hong Kong company Silver Basis, according to data from the file of the Moscow Arbitration Court as of May 9.
The lawsuit was registered on May 3. At the same time, Moskvich stated that they had appealed the decision to recover money in favor of the Chinese company, made earlier. Therefore, the court should not accept an application to declare a company bankrupt.
While Moskvich’s appeal is being considered, the Hong Kong company’s statements about the plant’s alleged evasion of paying money only tarnish its reputation and do not contribute to the resolution of the conflict.
Moskvich’s financial situation is stable and it meets its obligations to its partners.
The lawsuit, whose decision Moskvich appealed, concerns claims by Silver Basis for actions committed while the company was owned and operated by France’s Renault. “Moskvich” was then called “Renault Russia”.
