He expressed his position during a discussion that took place on Facebook (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) about the ban on the use of Victory Banners in the “Immortal Regiment” in Perm. The ban was introduced at the initiative of the coordinator of the action in Perm, A. Otmakhova. The head of the regional branch of the Dela Party supported the introduction of this ban, since, in his opinion, the Immortal Regiment is a gloomy event, not a festive one: “The pillar of pain is approaching, why is there a banner of victory there?” (spelling preserved).
Zavorin further stated that he does not consider the Great Patriotic War significant and, furthermore, equates the USSR with the fascist Reich: “People died for nothing.
