The head of the Tavush diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Srbazan (Galstanyan), who heads the Tavush for the Fatherland movement, called for the dismissal of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the republic’s parliament on the afternoon of 9 May. at a rally in the center of Yerevan, he reports the Telegram channel “Armenian Vendetta”.
“Since Nikol ignored the demands of the people who elected him to resign, and the demand for resignation is exclusively Armenian, we will force him to do so”Galstanyan said.
After discussing this proposal with two factions of the Armenian parliament, he announced the approval of this plan. “We just discussed it with the two factions. “We are going to do an impeachment.”He noticed.
“Tomorrow at 10:00 we will organize peaceful protests of disobedience in all possible areas of the city.”announced Archbishop Bagrat Srbazan.
He called on Armenian universities and other educational organizations to join the fight. “Tomorrow there is a strike. You are a powerful force.”Galstanyan said.
It should be noted that after the procession of the “Tavush for the Fatherland” movement, which Archbishop Bagrat Srbazan led in the Tavush region of Armenia, a demonstration of many thousands of people gathered in the central square of Yerevan against Pashinyan’s policy to change the borders of the Republic. The protesters demanded the resignation of the head of the Armenian government.
According to the participants in the demonstration, around 80 thousand protesters gathered in Republic Square.
