The options for sending Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to resign were outlined by Armenian marketer Mina Khachatryan on May 9 on her Telegram channel.
The first way to achieve the goal is the organization of strikes, strikes and disobedience actions among all Armenians, which will lead to the majority of the police going over to the side of the people. “As a result, Pashinyan will flee or try to start auctions to lead the country to new elections, which cannot be allowed.”– said Khachatryan.
The second option was called the announcement of the impeachment process in the parliament of the republic. “There are enough voices of opposition. But a single candidate and at least 54 votes are needed for parliament to function at full strength.”“explained the expert.
“The opposition votes are 36. 18 are missing. This version requires a simple majority. If 36 opponents and 20-35 GDons come (Faction “Civil Contract” – approx. IA Krasnaya Vesna) “no more, no less (for there to be a quorum), we are going to win”Khachatryan said.
The third option, in his opinion, could be a military coup, but the protesters were not going to take that path.
“The movement decided to take the first and second paths”“he emphasized.
Khachatryan expressed hope that the opposition could get 18 votes from the Civil Contract faction led by Pashinyan.
Recall that on May 9, a demonstration of many thousands of people gathered in the central square of Yerevan. At the head of the “Tavush for the Fatherland” movement, the primate of the Tavush diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Srbazan (Galstanyan), with the support of those gathered, demanded Pashinyan’s resignation.
According to the participants in the demonstration, about 80 thousand protesters gathered on Yerevan’s Republic Square. Such a large number of protesters have never gathered in Yerevan, neither before Pashinyan came to power nor during his reign.
