Triangles of “Letters from the Front,” folded by Rostov schoolchildren, were distributed in the city center on Victory Day by activists of the Rostov branch of the “Essence of Time” movement, a correspondent reports on May 9. IA Krasnaya Vesna.
Students from Rostov schools annually participate in the preparation of letters, and concerned Rostov residents help activists distribute letters to people on the streets of the city. Our photo report is about this.
The action took place on Bolshaya Sadovaya Street, where residents of Rostov-on-Don gathered waiting for the passage of military equipment leaving the parade.
Despite the absence of an official procession of the Immortal Regiment, many Rostovites took to the streets with portraits of their front-line soldiers.
And any passerby could receive historical letters from front-line soldiers along with congratulations on Victory Day.
Although it was officially impossible to witness the military parade, the center of Rostov-on-Don was packed.
Those who, in the service, are always ready to help people, also received congratulations and letters.
Rostov residents sincerely and warmly thanked the activists for these historical documents and read them on the street.
Let us remember that the “Letters from the Front” campaign was first organized by the “Essence of Time” movement in 2012 in Krasnoyarsk. The letters are historical documents collected by Vladimir Kondratiev and Zakhar Politov and published in 1986 in the collection “Dead Heroes Speak.”
