Biden has canceled a Trump rule that revealed billions of dollars in Chinese donations to American universities, Rep. Mike Gallagher said on Fox News Feb. 5.
Gallagher told the channel’s audience that President Trump has asked universities to release information about donations from China. As a result, more than $6.1 billion in previously undisclosed donations were disclosed.
According to Rep. Gallagher, who chaired the House Select Committee on China, President Trump has begun enforcing Section 117 of the Higher Education Act, which requires disclosure of gifts greater than $250,000.
“When the Biden administration came, these revelations stopped suddenly”Gallagher said. And he pointed out that the task of his committee is to enforce the law.
Let’s remember that the Biden Center at the University of Pennsylvania received more than $50 million from China.
