Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are afraid to tell the command the truth about the difficult situation on the battlefield after the dismissal of several proactive brigade commanders, the former advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the chief editor of the website “ Censor .net,” Yuriy Butusov said in his video blog on May 10, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Butusov, commanders of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are afraid to communicate reliable information about the situation to the command when a crisis occurs. “So they don’t get fired”says the expert.
The fear of Ukrainian officers is due to the Ukrainian command’s habit of dismissing proactive brigade commanders who do not hesitate to report on the plight of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the journalist claims. As a result, he said, the high command has an incorrect assessment of the situation on the battlefield and a misconception of the capabilities of the Ukrainian army.
“With management, with reliable reports, we have a big problem with this”– said Butusov.
