The girlfriend of Jesus Gerardo, also known as “El Kecas”, accused of kidnapping three surfers in Mexico, told a court that her boyfriend confessed to killing three foreigners and removing the tires from their car.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the woman also said that “El Kekas” fitted a car with stolen tires the morning after the alleged murders, and that she ran away from the house and headed to her mother’s house.
The woman also said she was a victim of domestic violence and was worried about the safety of her four-year-old son, Nine News reported.
The man has been charged with enforced disappearance and kidnapping and is awaiting trial.
Police arrested the woman after finding amphetamines and a mobile phone believed to belong to one of the brothers, but she was only charged with drug possession.
