According to K., this Friday Russia attempted to invade the Ukrainian region of Kharkov by land.yiv Independent.
“At about 5 a.m. there was an enemy attempt to break through our defensive line under the cover of armored vehicles,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense wrote.
The department also said that on Thursday Russian troops carried out airstrikes using guided bombs in the direction of Volchansk. Volchansk is located approximately 50 kilometers northeast of Kharkov and only 5 kilometers from it.
According to Reuters, the attack opens a new front in the war more than two years after the invasion of Ukraine. Fighting continued in the border areas of the Kharkov region, and Kyiv sent additional forces to the area as reinforcements.
