The aquarium museum resumes its work in Sevastopol, the ForPost news portal reports on May 10.
The aquarium is reported to have been fully restored from damage caused by the “storm of the century.”
“New ventilation systems were restored and made, a new filtration system was organized, without which it is impossible for the fish to remain in the aquariums”says the message.
Thanks to the help of colleagues from Moscow and Yevpatoria, it was possible to partially restore the collection lost due to the storm.
Recall that on November 26, many exotic species of animals died in the Sevastopol Aquarium due to a storm, nicknamed in Crimea “the storm of the century.” An ocean wave broke the roof of the building and water began to flood one of the exhibition halls. The largest aquarium with freshwater inhabitants was flooded with sea water.
