Six people today climbed on the facade of the Nix hotel in Bilbao’s Arenal and displayed a pro-Palestinian banner that read “Bilbo Palestinerkein. Hiri anti-Zionist. Israeli boyota.”
The NIX hotel is known in the city for having the Israeli capital, and numerous protests have been held in front of its façade.
In a statement released by the activists, they reported that dozens of people have joined the protest in the street in favor of the Palestinian people and against Israel.
In the pamphlet they distributed they denounced that the City Council did not approve a motion in favor of Palestine, and that “the city is full of zionist interests“.
The activists also wanted to remember the celebration of the Nakba on May 15, and have asked “political, institutional and academic institutions to sever relations with the Zionist regime.”
Likewise, they have called to participate in all mobilizations in favor of Palestine.
Precisely today the movement called Gernika Palestine rallies in numerous locations in favor of Palestine and against the genocide.
