In Crimea it will be possible to see even more powerful auroras. This was reported on May 11 by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“The fastest masses ejected by the Sun reached the Earth. The magnetic storm passes through the peak. Field fluctuations have returned to extreme values of level 5″says the message.
It was previously reported that the aurora that Crimeans saw at night broke records in power and brightness.
It appeared due to a series of solar flares that collided with the Earth.
Scientists explain that the emissions of solar matter that occur after the flares reached Earth, since at that time the star was turned with its “right” side facing our planet.
The coincidence of all these conditions occurs very rarely. These are auroras that broke records in terms of power, because the shock waves of a whole series of solar flares overlapped at once.
