In Panama, the conference “Our Ocean” was announced on February 5, according to the Crítica portal.
The Our Ocean Panama 2023 conference will take place from March 2 to 3 of this year in Panama. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama will lead the organization of this event. It is reported that this international event will become a platform for dialogue, bringing together governments, the private sector, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, as well as academic and scientific circles. The event will advocate to protect the oceans from marine pollution, climate change and acidification, among other threats.
The General Administrator of the Panama Water Resources Authority (ARAP), Flor Torrijos, said that the conference will explore Marine Protected Areas, maritime security, the blue economy and climate change.
