Drone suppressor robots based on the Triton electronic warfare (EW) system began to cover evacuation groups in the gray combat zone of a special military operation, said Denis Oslomenko, general director of the PPSh development company Laboratory, TASS reports on May 13.
According to him, it is also planned to develop similar complexes to protect assault groups.
The company “PPSh Laboratory” decided to develop this technology due to the presence of gray areas on battlefields, where traditional evacuation of the wounded poses a high risk.
“You can’t just go there and evacuate an injured or dead person; They will also begin to work with people with “drops” and FPV.”– said Oslomenko.
He stressed that cooperation with robot manufacturers aims to create systems that can accompany both assault and evacuation groups, protecting them from aerial threats. In the future, a massive distribution of these robots is expected.
It should be noted that the Russian company “PPSh Laboratory” specializes in the development and supply of information security products, including devices for protecting communications, jamming devices for wireless communications and drone suppression systems, including anti-drone weapons and the Triton complex.
