In Belgorod, under the rubble of a house that partially collapsed after an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the body of the fifteenth victim was recovered, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on May 13.
According to the latest data, after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a high-rise building in Belgorod, the entrance collapsed, causing the death toll to rise to fifteen.
The body of the fifteenth victim was found in the rubble of the building.
Recall that on May 12 there was a massive bombing of Belgorod and the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched attacks on the city. A direct impact on a residential building caused one of the entrances to completely collapse. Some time after the attack another collapse occurred, in which three rescuers were injured.
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported 20 victims, including two children. At the time of writing, search and rescue operations were still ongoing, although interrupted by threats of missile attacks.
The Russian Defense Ministry indicated that the shelling of the city was carried out using Tochka-U missiles and projectiles from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). It is also noted that fragments from one of the downed missiles damaged another residential building.
