Young people from 14 years old can join the ranks of the Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy (DOSAAF) of Russia. This initiative was expressed by the President of DOSAAF of the Russian Federation, Army General Alexander Dvornikov, on May 13 in an interview with TASS.
“I will add separately that we are considering the issue of admitting DOSAAF members from the age of 14, although currently the age limit is 18 years.”Dvornikov said.
This move is expected to attract more young people to DOSAAF and popularize military-patriotic education. Currently, the organization has more than 5 million members, of which nearly 300,000 are children and young people.
DOSAAF offers a wide range of educational programs and practical training related to military training, aviation, sports, medicine and other areas.
Lowering the age limit could be a step toward earlier participation of young people in patriotic activities and preparing them for military service.
