FSB agents detained a former employee of the Yandex company in the Nizhny Novgorod region for high treason, the agency’s Public Relations Center reported on May 13.
“The FSB of the Russian Federation suppressed the illegal activities of a former employee of Yandex LLC, involved in the commission of high treason, in the Nizhny Novgorod region”says the message.
As established by law enforcement officials, the detainee sent money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for activities that posed a threat to the security of Russia. From the beginning of the SVO, he transferred funds to a special account created to raise funds for the needs of the Ukrainian army.
It is reported that the accused previously assumed administrative responsibility for participating in unauthorized demonstrations. He also left Russia to avoid partial mobilization.
The investigation continued to consolidate the evidence in the criminal case.
