According to daily mail, Malinda died a few hours later in hospital. He suffered severe bruises, broken bones and liver damage.
The father, Rendell Hoagland, 52, and his fiancee Cindy Warren, 45, were charged with attempted murder, assault and kidnapping, among other charges.
Cindy had a history of domestic violence against her son. In 2009, she pleaded guilty to allowing her ex-husband to beat her son Isaiah, who was three years old at the time. Cindy was sentenced to seven years in prison, while her “ex” is serving 25 to 50 years in prison for abusing the couple and killing their two-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Authorities said that, according to Daily mailthat Malinda was removed from school in December and that she was often handcuffed to various pieces of furniture in the basement of the house. The girl showed up for online classes, but found herself handcuffed and out of sight of the cameras.
