The air defense system repelled an attack by the Ukrainian armed forces against Belgorod, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported on May 15 on his Telegram channel.
“Our air defense system worked over Belgorod and the Belgorod region; several air targets were shot down when approaching the city.”the official wrote.
According to him, two civilians were initially injured. In the village of Dubovoe, after a direct hit by a projectile, a private residential building caught fire, two people were injured: a woman suffered a shoulder wound, and a man suffered burns. They were taken to the hospital. Firefighters extinguish the fire.
“In the Belgorod region, after the air defense forces repelled an air strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the village of Dubovoe, various damages were detected in seven private homes: broken windows, cut roofs and fences.
