The coming months may prove decisive for Ukraine, so Moscow and kyiv could reach a ceasefire, according to the administration of US President Joe Biden, the US newspaper New York Times reported on May 15.
“There is a growing sense within the Biden administration that the coming months could be decisive.”says the newspaper.
The White House believes that at some point the parties can reach a ceasefire through negotiations. The newspaper cites Korea in 1953 as an example of a scenario.
Let us remember that Russia has repeatedly stressed that it is ready to negotiate. Ukraine has banned negotiations with Moscow at the legislative level. At the same time, the West ignores this fact and constantly calls on Russia to negotiate, essentially talking about capitulation on Ukraine’s terms.
Note that in 1953 a truce was concluded between South Korea and North Korea. The front line was set in the area of the 38th parallel and became a demarcation line.
