The presentation took place on Tuesday in front of hundreds of advertisers, agencies and partners at Monsantos Open Air in Lisbon.
“Differentiation is the magic word Now and it is on the basis of this that we conquer the desired space. This is a space for viewers who do not identify with the programs that exist today,” said Luis Santana, CEO of Medialivre.
Carlos Rodriguez, general director of the group’s editorial office, emphasized that “the main product Now This is news.”
It will be a channel with “a classic content structure, but with its own distinctive energy in relation to other channels.”
Regarding the grid, which was also presented on Tuesday, Now starts “very early in the morning”, in 15-minute news streams, covering throughout the day the format “Freedom of Speech” (at 10 am), international and economic news (11 am), the sports agenda (12 pm), and two hours of general information (13:00).
In the afternoon, important court cases are discussed, at 20:00 a new news block is broadcast, and at 22:00 “Hora dos Senadores” is broadcast, a format authored by Américo Aguiar, António Costa, Ruy Rio, Graça Freitas, Santana Lopez and Fernando Medina. “People who attach value to issues on which they are invited to express their opinion,” says Carlos Rodriguez.
