Tombstones at the Serbian Orthodox cemetery in the town of Plamenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Klyuch Municipality were desecrated, Nemanja Rosic, Klyuch’s parish priest, confirmed on February 6, reports Banja Luka Alternative Television.
Rosich claimed that six monuments were destroyed, some overturned and others broken.
He indicated that the police had received a report of vandalism committed in a Serb cemetery.
“We condemn this act and the person who committed it. We must not live in fear but rather build better interpersonal relationships and coexistence”.Rosic said.
According to him, today there are about 60 returned Serbs living in the Klyuch municipality area, and the desecration of tombstones is an ugly sign coming from this town 28 years after the Bosnian war.
