Interpol has issued a red alert for Mohamed Amre, the leader of a drug trafficking network, following an attack on a French government van that left two prison officers dead.
This means that Mohamed Amra is wanted by all the police in the world. The goal is to allow the country to find a wanted person with the help of foreign authorities.
According to Le Parisien, a warning is a report that can be issued by the police department of a state that cooperates with Interpol, which corresponds to almost all countries in the world, with the exception of North Korea and some oceanic states.
Sometimes, in the case of a particularly serious violation, only red notices may be issued to the public.
Mohamed Amra’s name is available on the organization’s website. It lists the man’s name, date of birth and physical characteristics, as well as the facts with which he is accused.
According to Le Parisien, Mohamed went missing on Tuesday after the van he was traveling in was attacked.
Recall that two prison guards were shot dead and three seriously injured in Évreux, France, during an attack on the government vehicle carrying Mohamed Amra, who was traveling from Rouen towards Évreux. The goal was to free the transported prisoner.
The incident occurred at the Incarville toll booth. The attack involved two cars, which managed to escape, as did the prisoner. The cars were eventually found burned out in the city of Vatterville.
