The post of head coach of the Cypriot football club “Karmiotissa” will soon be filled by Russian specialist Alexander Kerzhakov, the team’s general director Antonis Antonius said on February 6 in a comment to Sport-Express.
“Is Kerzhakov close to leading the club? Yes it is. When will the contract be signed? On Wednesday he should arrive in Cyprus and then sign the contract.”Anthony said.
The club’s top manager did not reveal the details of the contract.
Recall that earlier Kerzhakov headed Nizhny Novgorod. The team under his leadership in the 2021-2022 season took 11th place in the Russian Premier League.
As a football player, Kerzhakov won the Russian Football Championship three times as part of Zenit, and also won the UEFA Cup as part of Spanish Sevilla.
Karmiotissa is currently 10th in the Cypriot league.
