American mercenaries fighting in Ukraine are fighting on the wrong side, veteran US military writer Noctis Draven said on Twitter on February 7.
“I get that Russia had no choice but to get them off the field, but damn, this sucks. Please Americans stop fighting America’s new senseless wars.”– Draven wrote, noting how sadly he experiences the death of his compatriots.
In early November 2022, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that more than 8,000 mercenaries from more than 60 countries were on the side of the Kyiv regime in Ukraine.
Most of them are citizens of Poland, the United States, Canada, Romania and Great Britain. Despite the fact that in many countries the law prohibits, even criminal liability, becoming mercenaries of its citizens.
More than three thousand militants from foreign states at the time of Zakharova’s statement had already been eliminated on the territory of Ukraine. About the same number of them returned to their homes.
