Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) users have been experiencing problems with bank transfers since Monday due to updated beneficiary confirmation information.
TO CM A bank source confirmed this fact and stated that these restrictions only apply under the following circumstances: it only happens between recipient accounts (there is no problem with sending money to other accounts) and it only happens in Caixadirecta online, on a computer (there is no interference in the Caixadirecta app ).
According to the same source, the problem should be resolved at 2:00 am on Wednesday 21st.
Remember that bank transfers between Portuguese accounts from this Monday require prior confirmation from the recipient before the final order to transfer the money is given.
