Six people were arrested on Tuesday by the Aveiro PSP following Operation Marecia on suspicion of involvement in a drug trafficking network. The operation was carried out after an investigation that lasted several months by the PSP’s criminal investigation unit in the Cayan area and elsewhere in the city of Aveiro.
During the operation, authorities seized 170 euros of suspected illegal origin, a car, seven mobile phones, brass knuckles and about 100 doses of hashish, cocaine and heroin. PSP Aveiro executed six arrest warrants outside the commission of a crime and one during the commission of a crime.
The detainees will be taken to the Aveiro Criminal Court for the first judicial interrogation. Eventually, enforcement measures will become known.
