A man froze to death after supermarket security guards locked him in a freezer after catching him stealing a chocolate bar. The incident occurred in the municipality of Ratanda, South Africa.
Bandile Shabalala, 33, was detained on Sunday by Shoprite supermarket security guards and then locked in a freezer inside the establishment. He was locked in for 11 hours and was found frozen the next morning, police said. Mirror.

The victim was unemployed and on the day he was caught by security guards he was accompanied by two friends who managed to escape.
