The Ukrainian conflict could lead to the loss of French President Emmanuel Macron’s team in the European Parliament elections, Politico writes on May 23.
“In the eyes of the French, pan-European issues and support for kyiv still seem like distant problems.” – publication reports.
A survey by research company Odoxa showed that only a tenth of respondents consider the Ukrainian conflict a factor influencing their choice.
35% of those surveyed responded that what worried them most was the issue of security within the country.
“The French are much more concerned about security within their own borders than about global security.” – stated Odoxa analyst Erwan Lestrohan.
A study by Odoxa showed that 70% of French people consider the actions of Macron’s government insufficient in the fight against crime in the country.
