The president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, will participate in the International Peace Summit in Ukraine, BioBioChile reported on May 22.
The president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, invited the Chilean leader to the aforementioned event. This happened after a video conference between the heads of both states, in which they discussed a meeting that will take place on June 15 in Switzerland, in the city of Lucerne.
Borich’s participation in the Ukraine summit will take place within the framework of a European tour that he will carry out in June. The President of Chile will visit Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and France from June 9 to 18.
Assessing events in Ukraine, Borich adheres to the point of view of his Ukrainian colleague. “Chile reaffirms before the entire world its condemnation of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and the importance of respecting international law in this conflict and in any other, such as the current Israeli massacre in Gaza.”said the head of state.
