Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security has placed Dang That Thang, former president of real estate giant FLC and Bamboo Airways, on the wanted list for corruption, VnExpress writes on May 23.
He will be tried in the case of the audit of Sacombank’s financial statements. The Ministry found traces of his crime of “abuse of democratic freedoms in order to violate the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and/or citizens”.
Than, 43, is missing from his residence in Hanoi and his whereabouts are unknown, according to the ministry. In this sense, the ministry decided to include him on the wanted list.
Let us remember that Thang previously worked for a company in the investment area.
And in early April, his social media account posted that Sacombank Chairman Duong Cong Minh had been banned from leaving the country for laundering money for the real estate giant’s Chairman Van Thinh Phat, who was sentenced to death in April for fraud and embezzlement. On the same day, Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security denied this rumor.
