The Novosibirsk Ecology-Novosibirsk municipal solid waste (MSW) operator will continue to operate until it is replaced by a new regional MSW operator, the regional administration said, the Sib.fm Internet portal reported on February 7.
According to the authorities, Ecology-Novosibirsk will continue to function, despite the commission’s decision to deprive the status of a regional waste operator, since there is no order approving this deprivation.
“According to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1156, a private legal entity of the status of a regional operator is obliged to perform the functions of a regional operator until the day the contract is concluded with a new organization for the performance of these functionsthe government said.
Recall that earlier the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Novosibirsk Region Yevgeny Shesternin announced on his Telegram channel about the decision of the commission depriving Ecology-Novosibirsk of the status of a regional operator for the disposal of household waste, but the post was subsequently removed.
