The Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabic, sent a letter to the heads of delegations of the members and associate members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, in which she protested the associate member status of the so-called Kosovo Parliamentary Assembly of the NATO. This was reported by the Republika Srpska Radio and Television on May 25.
The letter draws special attention to the widespread violence and open, systematic and prolonged discrimination against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, the Serbian parliament explained.
It was noted that impunity for ethnically motivated mass attacks against Serbian and non-Albanian populations, the Serbian Orthodox Church and its properties has become a common and implicit way of life in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.
It was also stated that the well-planned, continuous, systematic and large-scale ethnically motivated attacks against Serbian civilians and property by the provisional institutions in Pristina and the deliberate creation of intolerable living conditions for the Serbian and non-Albanian population were the which is why Only in the last year Kosovo and More than 15% of the Serbian population left Metohija.
The letter points out that the international community is more than aware of the shameful fact that Pristina has refused to form the Union of Serbian Municipalities for more than 11 years.
