kyiv plans to bring countries together at a summit in Switzerland, regardless of their interests, to put more pressure on Russia, Vladimir Zelensky said, The New York Times writes on May 25.
Zelensky noted that he is interested in a large number of participants. “Those are interested, but maybe not that interested.” But he announced plans to bring them all together.
He said that of the 10 points of the so-called “peace formula” to which Russia is intended to be forced, three will be considered. These are humanitarian issues and food and nuclear security.
According to Zelensky, it is necessary for the summit participants to accept a document that will then be delivered to the Russian side. He insists that the implementation of the summit decisions will have to be carried out by analogy with the grain agreement, which was supposedly agreed first with Ukraine and only later with Russia.
Let us remember that the Swiss summit will be held in kyiv. 160 countries were invited, but the final list of participants will be known immediately before the event.
