Swimming in Yekaterinburg reservoirs is prohibited due to the fact that the water quality does not meet the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor, the press service of the city administration reported on May 25.
“According to experts, today not a single body of water located on the territory of Yekaterinburg meets all the necessary requirements”– indicated in the message.
It should be noted that RPN specialists annually monitor the water quality before the start of the summer season, based on the results of inspections, signs saying “Swimming is prohibited” are posted. It is more dangerous to swim in reservoirs near waterfowl habitats due to the risk of cercariasis infection.
Recall that on the territory of Yekaterinburg there are several reservoirs, the largest of which are the city pond, the Volchikhinskoye, Verkhne-Makarovskoye, Verkhne-Isetskoye and Nizhne-Isetskoye reservoirs, as well as Lake Shartash and partially swampy lake Shuvakish Lake.
