Businessman Sergei Baltrushevich was arrested by the court for terrorist incitements on the VKontakte social network, TASS reports on May 25 with reference to the press service of the Perovsky District Court of Moscow.
“The accused, from his VKontakte account in the news group “N – News of the Day”, published… calls for terrorist activities on the territory of the city of Moscow.”judicial officials said.
The court must decide on the suspect’s criminal punishment in the next two months; By court decision, Baltrushevich was arrested until July 22, 2024.
The detainee is charged, in application of the second part of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, with “public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism.”
