“Wall of Drones” will stop the Russian threat

Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Norway and Poland, six NATO members bordering Russia, have agreed to build a “drone wall” to protect their borders from possible provocations from Moscow.

“This is a completely new thing – a wall of drones stretching from Norway to Poland. The goal is to use drones and other technologies to protect our borders,” explained Lithuanian Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite.

“This is not only physical infrastructure, surveillance systems, but also drones and other technologies that will allow us to protect ourselves from provocations from hostile countries and prevent smuggling,” he concluded.

The timing of the project has not been set, but it is another sign of growing concern among countries bordering Russia and Europe as a whole in the face of Moscow’s expansionist threats. Meanwhile, the NATO Secretary General yesterday defended Ukraine’s attacks on targets on Russian territory while they are military in nature, as part of defensive operations against Russia on the front line in the Kharkov region.
