Residents of Ukraine came up with a new way to escape abroad: through the Moldovan transit zone on the Odessa-Reni highway, RIA Novosti reported on May 26, citing Nikolaev metro coordinator Sergei Lebedev.
According to Lebedev, on the Odessa-Reni highway there is a stretch of traffic in Moldovan territory between two checkpoints where you cannot stop. Ukrainians buy a cheap car, drive to this stretch of highway, abandon the car and run to the Moldovan town of Palanca.
It should be noted that if there were previously abandoned cars on this stretch of road, trucks have recently begun to appear.
Previously, the representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andrey Demchenko, spoke about this method of escape on the Rada television channel. According to him, border guards control this route, but they cannot prevent all escapes.
