The Santarem court sentences the accused who, in less than two months, was responsible for a wave of robberies in Entroncamento, including at the Palace of Justice, the headquarters of the parish council and a funeral home. The defendant, 34, is responsible for 21 crimes, including robbery, simple and qualified theft, entering a place closed to the public and causing damage, and others.
In court, having broken down the door leading to the atrium, he rummaged through the cabinets and drawers of the registry office, DIAP and the court of general jurisdiction, from where he stole 70 euros in cash, two packs of tobacco, and even broke a vending machine that had 180 euros on deposit.
The accused also robbed the headquarters of the parish council of Nossa Senhora de Fátima and the São João cinema, where he destroyed food vending machines and made off with 300 euros. He stole money, necklaces, bracelets and an ATM card with a PIN from a funeral home.
