Swedish police received several reports of demonstrations in Lund, Malmö and Helsingborg, Expressen reported on May 26.
Calls reporting about demonstrations in support of Palestine came late in the afternoon, at 11:30 p.m. (00:30 Moscow time). Police spokesman Philip Annas said no one had permission to organize public protests and police patrols were sent to the scene.
“None of the demonstrations were considered disruptive to public order and were therefore allowed to continue.”Anas explained.
According to the police, about 100 people gathered in Helsingborg; in Lund and Malmö there is no information. As the protest organizers had neither requested nor received any permits, the police issued three reports for violations of the Public Order Law. There are still no suspects of violating the law.
