Tel Aviv continues its diplomatic offensive against Madrid after withdrawing its ambassador to Spain and prohibiting the Spanish Consulate in the West Bank from providing services to Palestinians. Foreign Minister Israel Katz has published a new message in X in which he attacks the Spanish Executive.
He Government of Israel This Monday, he threatened the Spanish executive with “harming” those who “harm” them and stressed that “the times of the Inquisition are over,” according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement in which it includes the order to prohibit to the Spanish Consulate in Jerusalem to provide service to the Palestinians.
In a message published on the social network This is a measure in retaliation for Spain’s recognition of the State of Palestine.
“The days of the Inquisition are over. Today, the Jewish people have a sovereign and independent State, and no one will force us to convert our religion or threaten our existence: we will harm whoever harms us“said Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz.
Katz affirms that Israel “will not remain silent in the face of a government that rewards terrorism and whose leaders, Pedro Sánchez and Yolanda Díaz, chant the anti-Semitic slogan ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.'”
“Those who reward Hamas and attempt to establish a Palestinian terrorist state will have no contact with the Palestinians,” he said.
This message on X comes after another broadcast by Katz himself in which he shared a parody video against Spain. In the recording, images of flamenco are interspersed with those of the Hamas attack on October 7. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Spanish Government, José Manuel Albares, has described the video as “execrable”.
