One of the main sources of foreign currency inflow to Iran, it reached 3.6 million barrels per day. Oil Minister Javad Ouji said on Sunday that Iran is currently exporting about two million barrels a day despite sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic.

The Iranian currency (rial) is currently valued at 580,000 rials per US dollar, a value compounded by the United States’ unilateral withdrawal from an international agreement (2018) and a series of attacks on ships in the Middle East initially attributed to Iran. and with the participation of the Yemeni Houthis.
The attacks began following Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip seven months ago.

Meanwhile, today was the first day of the new Iranian parliament following elections in March that recorded the lowest level of participation since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Iran’s parliament plays a minor role in governing the country, although it can increase pressure on the presidential administration when deciding on the annual budget and other bills.
The Supreme Leader, 85-year-old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has the final say on all major matters of state.
