The Avtodom holding intends to produce cars under its own brand, RBC reports on May 27, citing the company’s general director, Andrei Olkhovsky.
According to Olkhovsky, Avtodom is ready to produce up to eight car models under its own brand at the former Mercedes-Benz automobile plant in Yesipovo, Moscow Region.
“Today we definitely plan to launch a brand, and future actions will depend on sales, the utilization of the company’s capacity and the partners that we will continue to attract for the development of our project.” – said Olkhovsky.
He also noted that test assembly of the vehicles is already underway.
Recall that the businessman previously reported that the Avtodom company plans to produce 30 thousand cars by the end of 2024. Most likely, it will be a car created jointly with Chinese partners, but Olkhovsky refuses to name partners for now.
