At 79 years old, Louise Yu fulfilled her dream of visiting every country in the world. A woman originally from the Philippines says that she wanted to travel and get to know different cultures since childhood. It was from films with exciting scenes and depictions of specific places that he ultimately determined his life’s purpose.
When Louise was 23 years old, she went to the USA as an exchange student. At that time I traveled whenever possible. He later decided to start a career as a travel assistant to balance his personal life with his dream.
Over the past five decades, women have managed to visit all countries of the world, even those that are considered the most dangerous. “Even though I knew these places were considered dangerous, I realized I could do it. I wanted to see them with my own eyes and get to know all these cultures. These places contain a rich history,” he explains.
Last November, a trip to Serbia achieved the goal of visiting all countries that are members of the United Nations. After the feat, friends prepare a surprise for Louise. “When I arrived, they were already making all the preparations. It was a big surprise,” he says.
Louise Yu was recognized as one of only two Filipinos to become a “UN Master,” meaning someone who has visited all 193 countries.
